The lowest rate of diabetes diagnoses is in Alaska, where 5.3% (about 1 in 19) of adults had been diagnosed with diabetes as of 2010.
In the United States as a whole, 8.7% (about 1 in 12) of adults had been diagnosed with diabetes as of 2010.
