Mild Gastroparesis and Diet
I was just reading the newest edition of Voice of the Diabetic, which you can find under publications on the National Federation of the Blind website, and it has two articles on mild gastroparesis, describing something that is rather similar to what I have been experiencing in increasing severity since a couple years before I was diagnosed with diabetes.
It then suggest that a low fiber diet would rid of me such nasty episodes.
So I have a few questions- what are the symptoms that people who develop the sort of gastro that's detectable on the usual diagnostic tests tend to have five or ten years before they get to that point? Are any of you on low fiber diets? Do any of you eat a lot of fiber due to relatively low net carbs? Does eating less fiber give you a more dramatic meal spike?
